On Tuesday, Stephen Colbert issued a dire warning to Floridians about Hurricane Ian, which is expected to make landfall on Wednesday as a Category 4 storm.
But he also couldn’t pass up the chance to poke fun at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R), who used public funds to fly Venezuelan refugees from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard as part of a political stunt.
Everybody in Florida, please stay safe. Stephen Colbert pleaded with his audience, “Please if you can, get out of the storm’s path.” Assume the worst and tell Ron DeSantis you’re from Venezuela. Perhaps he’ll foot the bill for your flight to the Vineyard.
