Big Brother’s Alyssa Snider and Kyle Capener Split After Sparking a Season 24 Showmance!

Alyssa Snider and Kyle Capener of Big Brother have called it quits after less than a year together.

“As difficult as it is, I still have a lot of healing to do in this next era of life,” Capener, 29, stated on Thursday, January 26 in an Instagram Story post. “I need to heal on my own, so Alyssa and I have agreed to take some time apart with a heavy heart.”

“We want to assure you that this decision was made with a lot of love and concern for each other’s mental health,” the former TV star stated. We are still on excellent terms and will continue to support each other in all aspects of our lives, and we hope you will as well.”

Capener thanked his followers for their support “through our relationship,” adding that the choice to split is “best” for him and the 24-year-old customer service representative.

“Some time to focus on ourselves will benefit both of us,” he concluded. “We respectfully request that you respect our privacy as we navigate this tough time.”

“We still truly love and care for one other, and we look forward to the future with hope and enthusiasm,” the Utah native ended. Thank you for your patience and support.” Snider, for her part, repeated the remark on Thursday via her Instagram Story.

The reality TV pair met while competing on Big Brother 24 season 24, which began filming in the summer of 2022.

During the show, Capener was chastised for making discriminatory remarks that appeared to imply that all of the white participants should remain together in the home. On September 1, 2022, he was voted out.

“I’m quite dissatisfied with Kyle’s words in the house, and I need a lot of clarity on that,” Snider exclusively told Us Weekly in September 2022, following her eviction a few weeks after her beau was kicked off the show. “So I’m hoping that being out of the home – in jury – would allow me to have some meaningful chats with Kyle. Then I can have some chats with my family and friends to determine where we stand.”

Capener, for his part, told Us exclusively that month that he was “forever grateful” for the “love and care” he received despite his acts from several housemates.

“As far as leaving the game is concerned, it is then my obligation to continue to have those conversations, to learn and grow, and to discover resources that will help me comprehend these types of circumstances more thoroughly,” he said.

One month later, the twosome took a trip to Saint Augustine, Florida, confirming that their romance had survived the program.

When questioned if they were dating in November 2022, the two played coy during an Instagram Q&A session. “Are we?” “Are we?” Capener asked, to which his love replied, “Are we?”

Capener revealed the moment he knew the Florida native was the one for him in the same video. “I did say in the house, in our first chat, ‘I think you’re going to make me fall in love with you, don’t you?” “And that was the end of it,” he stated.

The couple appeared to be in good spirits as they went off to England and Italy in December 2022. They returned from Greece in January.
