Chelsea Handler Explains Why She and Jo Koy Broke Up

Comedian Chelsea Handler won’t let her breakup with Joe Coy ruin her view of love.

She is on the podcast “Now What?”

In her December 27 interview with Brooke Shields, Handler shared how her breakup with Koy affected her Netflix special Chelsea Handler: Revolution.

“It’s about me losing my trust in men and all the examples of that and finally meeting Joe Coy and renewing my trust in men,” Handler explained. Don’t go wrong, shut down or shut down, or use a failed or unsuccessful relationship as a reason to say “(expletive) that.” I’m single again.

She continued, “I want a relationship. Now that I have a taste of what this togetherness is like, I have no problem admitting that I have learned and grown a lot. I also want it.”

Handler and Koi announced their breakup on social media in July, with the cartoon sharing a heartfelt message about their respective relationships.

Before the two began dating, Handler and Coy had known each other for nearly 20 years, Handler said in an October 2021 episode of her podcast, Dear Chelsea, on her recent appearance on the late-night talk show Chelsea.
