Early Years

On November 18, 1985, in Annapolis, Maryland, Christian Vincent Siriano was given the name Christian Siriano. Siriano’s parents divorced while he was a little child, and Shannon, his elder sister, established Rebelle, a “supportive network for women.” After one year at Broadneck Senior High School, Christian switched to the Baltimore School for the Arts to pursue his interest in fashion design. Siriano spoke about his formative years in a 2007 interview with “De Novo Magazine,” saying:

“My early years were wonderful! My family is very creative and supportive of the arts. I spent a lot of time backstage with set and costume designers because my sister was a dancer. I truly experimented with a variety of pastimes, such as athletics, painting, dancing, and the arts.

In a 2008 appearance on “Ellen,” Christian claimed to be a “musical theater kid who loved costumes.” When he was 13 years old, he began creating clothing. At the same time, he was a hair washer and styling helper at Bubbles Salon. Siriano soon started creating clothing for the hair displays at the salon. Christian decided to enroll in the American InterContinental University in London after his application to the Fashion Institute of Technology was rejected. After college, he moved to New York City and worked as an intern for Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen.

Siriano and Walsh divorced in May 2018, and Christian then started dating fellow designer Kyle Smith. In April 2021, Siriano requested a divorce from Walsh. His talent agency, DMA, filed a lawsuit against Christian in November 2011.

The agency claimed that he had broken the terms of an oral agreement and owed them more than $50,000 in fees and commission as a result of his affiliation with the Payless ShoeSource chain of discount shoe stores. “Christian does not work with DMA and has no obligation to them,” Siriano’s lawyers argued in reference to the complaint. DMA acknowledges the absence of a written agreement. However, it amazingly wants to recoup commissions indefinitely based on a supposed oral agreement. It has no basis for the legal action it has brought against Christian Siriano’s businesses.

Real Estate

Christian has bought residences in Danbury, Westport, and Easton in Connecticut over the last ten years. George Washington once stayed at his Easton home, which was constructed in 1744 after it served as an inn. Siriano stated, “I really bought this house with my mom in mind,” to “Town & Country” in late 2022. This felt cozier than many of the overpowering estates in Connecticut. Over 30 years had passed since the previous owners moved out. Every space has a fireplace. It feels quite secluded and is situated on three acres.
