About: Dark Matter

Dark Matter Season 4

Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie’s eponymous comic book of the corresponding title has been adapted into a Canadian television series called Dark Matter. The makers of NCIS were screenwriter/interpreters Mallozzi and Mullie. They also served as the show’s creators.

The program was created by Prodigy Pictures in Toronto for Canada’s TV station Space. In August of last year, SyFy announced its support for the project and ordered for the series’ first season to be thirteen episodes, which aired on July 12th, 2015 on both Spaces and Syfy.

The first season of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland concluded with the birth of Alice’s daughter, which was broadcasted on the screens on 1st July 2016. The second season of Dark Matter was renewed in September 2016 for another thirteen-episode run, while the series was still airing.

The third season aired on 9th June 2017. The series was canceled on September 1, 2017, which was only a month after the conclusion of the third season’s final episode.

The fourth season of “Dark Matter” is set to premiere on Syfy in the U.S. and Space in Canada on June 4, 2017

It’s been nearly three years since the conclusion of Dark Matter Season 3. After all of this time, the fans are still debating why they won’t be seeing Dark Matter Season 4.

It was thought that the show had been canceled due to its poor viewership, but after some digging, additional reports emerged speculating about the network’s actual cause for the program’s abrupt cancellation.

The third season of Dark Matter was well received by critics and had a respectable number of viewers, although they were less than the previous season. The show’s rating remained consistent throughout the broadcast of its final episode.

Many ideas were proposed regarding the show’s conclusion, but the series’ co-creator Mallozzi sought to offer another theory. According to the terms of service, neither SyFy (network) nor NBC Universal (parent company) has ownership rights over Dark Matter, which implies that they will not make any money if they sell into foreign customers or even if the program is streamed on streaming platforms. The distribution rights have all been acquired by Prodigy Pictures, which has produced the program.

However, due to economic reasons, not because of its gradually declining ratings, we can fairly conclude that the television series has been canceled.
