American former professional basketball player Horace Junior Grant Sr. (born July 4, 1965) serves as a special advisor to Chicago Bulls president and COO Michael Reinsdorf.

After graduating from Clemson University with a degree in basketball, he went on to play professionally in the NBA, where he won four championships with the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers. Horace Grant is the identical twin of Harvey Grant, a former NBA player.

Early Life

A native of Augusta, Georgia, Horace Junior Grant Sr. entered the world on July 4, 1965. Horace grew up alongside his twin brother Harvey, and the entire family eventually became very sporty.

Harvey was an NBA player for 11 seasons, including time with the Washington Wizards, the Portland Trail Blazers, and the Philadelphia 76ers. There were three of Horace’s nephews who went on to play in the NBA.

Horace and Harvey both attended high school in Sparta after spending their formative years in Mitchell, Georgia.

Grant went on to play basketball at Clemson University after high school and had a significant impact for the Clemson Tigers.

He had never been accomplished before, but he set new records for points, boards, and makes in a single ACC season. In 1987, he had already won the ACC Player of the Year Award and guided the Tigers to the NCAA Tournament.

He was also named to the ACC’s first team. Grant made Clemson history by being the school’s first athlete to win the ACC’s Player of the Year award.

He signed with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2001 and promptly won an NBA title with them. He retired in 2004, and in 2009 he started working as an NBA goodwill ambassador. By the latter half of 2016, he had become Michael Reinsdorf’s trusted counsel.

You can enjoy the outdoors on the stone patio, around the outdoor fireplace, on the playground, or on the sports court. He spent over $1.38 million on the property over a decade ago, so any return from selling it now will be little.
