Jason Momoa apology

Jason Momoa has apologized for capturing photos and videos of the Sistine Chapel during a recent visit. The “Aquaman” star took to Instagram earlier this week to share photos of himself admiring the artwork within the Apostolic Palace. The only drawback is that photographing is prohibited since flash can damage the artwork.

Momoa captioned his Instagram image, “I LOVE YOU ITALY what a beautiful start to our day off visiting ROMA.” Fans were upset, and some even suspected the 42-year-old actor of receiving preferential treatment.

One user stated, “We, average folks, are not allowed to video inside the Sistine chapel.” “We can’t take pictures,” another fan explained, “but celebs can’t have anything against Jason (who I like), but it’s not fair.”

Momoa added, “I just wanted to say, if you ever felt like I offended your culture, it wasn’t my intention.” I visited the Sistine Chapel when I was 19 or 20 years old. I’ve always wanted to go, and now that I can, I made a generous donation to accompany my friends and crew because we only had a few days off to see these sights.”

“And then I found people wanted to take pictures with me, which is extremely unusual, because I’m on a trip to the Vatican with all this amazement, and they want to take pictures with me, which I don’t understand,” he said, “but I did.”

“I was respectful and asked permission from what I believed was appropriate.” I would never do anything that might offend someone’s culture. I am sorry if I offended you. That was not my objective at all. I paid for the privacy and made a generous donation to the church. I really like you. If I insulted you, I apologize.”

Actor Jason Momoa took photos of the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City during a break from filming the movie Fast X, for which he publicly apologized.

The actor apologized in a video for any inconvenience he may have caused. “It was never my aim to offend you because of your culture.” After that, he added, “I met individuals who wanted to take pictures with me, which is strange because I was visiting the Vatican with all of its splendor, and they wanted to take pictures with me, which I don’t understand, but I did anyhow… I was polite and asked for permission to do what I thought was appropriate.

I would never do anything to offend someone’s culture, therefore I apologize if I did. That was not my intent.” Later, the actor continued, “I paid for that private moment and made a generous donation to the church. I adore you, and I apologize if I insulted you.

I apologize.” Photography is prohibited in the Sistine Chapel for a variety of reasons. The sanctity of the site, which is covered in frescoes and serves as the Pope’s official residence, is part of it. There is also concern that flash photography could damage ancient paintings, which are estimated to be around 500 years old.
