Who Is Lavell Crawford?
Actor and comedian Lavell Crawford was born in the United States on November 11, 1968. He is best known for his role as Huell Babineaux in the Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad (2011–2013) television series (2017–2022). Additionally, he portrayed Gus Patch in the The Ridiculous 6 Netflix original film (2015).
His 2021 Comedy Vaccine album received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Comedy Album at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards.

When we met Crawford at LAX, it was clear that he had lost a lot of weight since his days as extra-husky bodyguard Huell on “Breaking Bad.”
However, Lavell claims that his wife has a magic weight in mind and does not want him to become overly thin. As he stated “She wed me in bear form. You don’t want to date any bunnies.”
Lavell explained what else he’s doing to lose weight and how he received some medical help to do so. And all of that is in addition to his jiu-jitsu training!

Lavell Crawford Early Life
Crawford was born and raised in Pagedale, Missouri’s St. Louis County. Elonda and Erica are Elonda’s sisters. He struggled with weight as a child and had a near-drowning incident when he was ten years old. After completing his high school education at Pattonville High School in 1986, Crawford enrolled at Missouri Western State College to study computer science.
Lavell Crawford Career
In 1990, Crawford started working as a stand-up comedian. In the 1990s, he frequently performed on BET’s ComicView. He competed on NBC’s Last Comic Standing in 2007, losing to Jon Reep in the two-hour season finale. Lavell Crawford: Can a Brother Get Some Love was recorded by him in 2011 at the Roberts Orpheum Theatre in St. Louis.

In the crime drama series Breaking Bad and its spinoff, Better Call Saul, Crawford played Huell Babineaux, Saul Goodman’s stoic bodyguard, from 2011 to 2022.
In the comedy short Huell’s Rules, which is based on the events of Breaking Bad, he also played Babineaux. Crawford has also had comedic roles in Aqua TV Show Show, Tosh.0, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore.
