The 35-Year-Old Leanne Hainsby Has Been Diagnosed with Breast Cancer

Leanne Hainsby, a Peloton instructor, announced on Friday that she had been covertly battling breast cancer. After being diagnosed with the disease in August 2022, the 35-year-old took to Instagram to discuss her painful health battle.

Leanne posted a photo of herself in a hospital bed wearing a cold cap, along with a lengthy letter in which she stated she’s already had 12 weeks of chemotherapy while still teaching her classes.

“I would teach my LIVE sessions on Wednesday mornings, then meet my mother and head to the treatment suite for my weekly dose (along with other meds as part of my treatment plan),” she wrote.

The British fitness sensation also disclosed that she had surgery and would soon have her portacath (a device implanted inside the body to administer treatment) removed.

“For me, treatment will continue for a long time, hospital visits are the norm, and I focus on one step at a time,” she added. “I consider myself quite fortunate to be receiving my treatment in seclusion.
