Famous actor Liam Neeson can finally be seen talking about his views on Conor McGregor and the UFC league.
Liam was recently interviewed by ‘Men’s Health‘ magazine where he answered some burning questions about him. One of the questions was about his opinions on Martial Arts fighting.
In his own words: “UFC, I can’t stand. “That, to me, is like a bar fight. I know the practitioners are like, ‘No, you’re wrong — the months of training we do …’ Why don’t you just grab a beer bottle and hit the other guy over the head?
That’s the next stage of the UFC. I hate it.” Liam said this in an episode of the show ‘Don’t Read The Comments’.
While talking about McGregor, who is a UFC fighter, he said that the little ‘leprechaun’ Gregor gives their country Ireland a bad name. Although, he admires Conor’s fitness and style.
In the episode, other than UFC, Liam also spoke about the famous lightsabers fight that took place between his Qui-Gon Jinn and Conor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi in “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.
He said: “We pulled out lightsabers out and went ‘dzhhhhhhewww.’ George Lucas said, ‘You don’t have to do the sound effects.
We put those in later.’ We felt like twats.”
As of now, directors of the film ‘Naked Robot’ by Paramount Pictures are in the talks for casting Neeson as the lead role. The film is set to be directed by Akiva Schaffer.
Other than this, his future projects also include films like ‘retribution’ and ‘In The Land Of Saints And Sinners’.
Talking about Conor McGregor, he is also making his big shift from being an athlete to a Hollywood actor. He is all set to star in the movie ‘Road House’ along with Jake Gyllenhaal. The movie will relase on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video.
