Loni Love has a talent for getting others to laugh. But according to her official bio page, Love began her career as an engineer in California after earning her degree from Texas’ Prairie View A&M University. But it didn’t take long for comedy to begin to rule her life.
Following her foray into stand-up comedy, Love rapidly established herself as a fixture at LA’s renowned Laugh Factory. In 2003, Love received her big break when she participated in Star Search and advanced all the way to the finals.

Loni Love Joined WW as An Ambassador
Loni Love joined the WW (previously Weight Watchers) family as an ambassador, according to a May 2019 report from People. Speaking candidly about her own weight loss experience, Love noted that after several unsuccessful diet attempts, she was attracted to WW because “They offer a beautiful WW app that works for my busy lifestyle.” An added benefit, perhaps?

Loni Love drew immediate ire when she claimed that her upbringing had a negative effect on her weight and then said it applied to “a lot of ladies in the African-American community.” When one critic tweeted, individuals on Twitter were quick to let her know that they didn’t appreciate her speaking for the entire community “It’s not that Black people lack the ability to eat; rather, it’s a matter of access.
