Although the actress returned to Instagram on Sunday to dispel rumors about the pair, a source tells PEOPLE that Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are “still not in a good place.
Fox, 36, who last week hinted at a possible separation with 32-year-old Kelly (real name Colson Baker), entirely disabled her Instagram account and uploaded a post after reactivating it claiming there was no infidelity in the relationship.
No outside interference of any type has been made in this relationship, according to Fox.
You must stop spreading this tale and now leave these defenseless individuals alone.
According to a person who is acquainted with both Fox and Kelly, the Transformers actress instantly suspected something was wrong and responded emotionally.
She has since posted that there was no cheating, although the source claims that she initially believed there had been and is now slightly retracting her statement.
“In her initial message, she most clearly made a hint about adultery. She now regrets going public with everything, but she was furious at the time.
The source continues, “Their relationship is chaotic and intense, but it wouldn’t be shocking if they were fully back together by the end of the week.”
Requests for comment from PEOPLE were not immediately answered by representatives for Fox and Kelly.
Fox released a video of an envelope being burned in a fire pit along with several pictures of herself in a post she made earlier this month that alluded to a possible breakup.
She wrote, “You can taste the dishonesty/ it’s all over your breath,” as the caption, using lines from Beyoncé’s 2016 album Lemonade.
On the set of the independent movie Midnight in the Switchgrass in March 2020, the couple connected, and by July of the same year, they were engaged. In January 2022, Kelly later made Fox an engagement ring.
