The LG ADAS supports a wide range of essential safety-oriented functions, including Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) ), Intelligent Head-Light Control (IHC) and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) to ensure not only the safety of the vehicle’s occupants, but also that of other drivers and pedestrians. Note that a large part of the features supported by the LG ADAS system, such as AEB and LDW, will be mandatory in new vehicles until 2022 in many countries.

The ADAS system, designed by LG, integrates advanced AI and deep learning that allow the camera to capture and process various traffic information to help drivers respond to road conditions and of real-time traffic. The system accurately recognizes the surrounding environment, constantly analyzing the vehicle’s position in relation to dynamic and fixed objects, and automatically applies the brakes in the event of an imminent collision. Camera data also allows the system to alert drivers if they inadvertently veer into the side lane or get too close to the vehicle in front.
