When will the second season of Power Book III: Raising Kanan season 2 be released?

Yes! In fact, the team felt so confident in the series that it was announced for a second season in July 2021, more than a week before the first premiered.

By the end of the month, the cast had revealed that they were already filming new episodes, which will undoubtedly speed up the release schedule.

“One season isn’t enough to portray the coming of age tale of Kanan Stark and his mother, Raq, a feisty and powerful woman who is a force of nature,” Starz president and CEO Jeffrey Hirsch said in explaining the choice for the additional season.

“With the worldwide demand for more of the Power Universe, it was evident that the Kanan tale needed to be continued.”

Unfortunately, that is all we have to go on; other than that, the new series will premiere in 2022.

Because the other books in the franchise are all due for new volumes, Raising Kanan might be released around the same time as season one, which ran from July to September.

Please check back in and we’ll let you know as soon as we have more information.

What will happen in the second season of Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 2?

Season two of Raising Kanan will pick up after Kanan’s attempted murder of his estranged father, Detective Malcolm Howard.

The teenage drug dealer had shot the cop and left him for dead, but in season one’s last episode, we learned that Malcolm had survived the shooting and was now awake.

Raquel, his mother, wants to frame Unique for the crime because he has already been arrested. But, in order to protect his son, will the investigator go through with the plan?

Meanwhile, Kanan is hiding out in Maryland, but his ties to the gang in South Jamaica, New York are deep – and he’s completely unaware that the cop he murdered is his father.

Raquel is no-nonsense, and she was spotted pulling him into the family business after initially shielding him from her drug activities.

The future episodes, according to actor Mekai Curtis, will focus on everyone’s actions having consequences, and how this “moulds and forms Kanan and his mind.”
