Following such a successful debut, the two features delighted audiences with mostly positive reviews. The plot is about the US government’s efforts to start another gang war on the border with Mexico.
Day of the Soldado was released in the United States and Canada on June 29, 2018. Columbia Pictures Home Entertainment, a Sony Pictures Releasing subsidiary, released it.
It was released in the United States and Canada by Lionsgate (excluding Latin America and Spain). The film is dedicated to Johann Johannsson, the first movie composer who died in February 2018. There will be no Sicario 3 if you’ve been waiting for news on one.
Sicario 3 Is Being Developed
Before the release of Soldado, producer Trent Luckinbill stated in June 2018 that a third film is in the works. when Bill Hader and Ben Edlund confirmed the sequel. According to Mr. Salazar, they’re probably going to do a prequel for this one that will follow El Infante’s rise as a drug lord in Mexican territory (or something like that). A third Sicario movie is now expected to 26, October 2022.
“We were so thrilled that people responded to the first one, and we felt validated in producing a second since we loved it,” he added. We’re most likely the biggest fans of the film. We feel the same way again. Obviously, we leave off a little teaser at the end even more than the first. Yeah. And it would be wonderful to have an opportunity to kind of express how this is something that Taylor has always been thinking about, and we loved it, and we thought, God, it would be fantastic if we could achieve it. I believe we should do that right away. I’d say the second one exceeded my expectations.
Sicario 3 Production Updates
The producers intended to start production on a third sequel in the spring or summer of 2022. We have a lot more up our sleeves than these amazing advancements. The third film has been given a title.
The third film will be titled Sicario- Capos, which means bosses in English. As a result, the new film may pit Matt and Alejandro against their toughest drug dealers to date. 3- Capos is the working title for Sicario 3, which will be produced by Black Label Media. It was also reported that the film would start production in early 2022.
In August, a reliable source claims that the producers have taken some steps to adapt del Toro’s original story idea as an origin tale for Sicario- Capos. Smith informed Deadline that Black Label is attempting to get del Toro back to star in the upcoming sequel. It’s not yet known whether Jeffrey Donovan and Chris Hemsworth will return for a third sequel, but both are expected to reprise their roles.
So, if there’s any fresh information about the shooting or confirmed cast members, we’ll share it with our readers. No official release date has been revealed for now, although expectations are that it will be released during the following year.
