Created by Akiva Goldsman, Michael Chabon, Kirsten Beyer, and Alex Kurtzman for CBS All Access (later rebranded as Paramount+), Star Trek: Picard is an American television series. As a part of Kurtzman’s expanded Star Trek universe, this is the eighth Star Trek series to be released in 2020.
Seasons of the show follow retired Starfleet Admiral Jean-Luc Picard as he deals with the issues that arise as he approaches the end of his life.
“Picard’s” Producer Discusses Season 4 Possibilities
after Season 2, we already know that Star Trek: Picard will continue. All of which is to say that there were already two and three seasons of the show in place even before the first episode had been released. What about the possibility of another season? Star Trek: Picard Season 4 has been discussed by producer Akiva Goldsman!
That Picard is going to run for three seasons is a well-known fact. Seasons 2 and 3 were announced in January 2020, so Trek fans can expect a new season to begin airing in the new year. Akiva Goldsman, the show’s executive producer, has decided to tell the truth about the show’s future.
In a recent interview with CBR, Goldsman was asked if the fourth season of Star Trek: Picard was possible. Even though the producer expressed optimism, he also made it clear that everything would be contingent on Patrick Stewart’s performance.
“Season 4 is always an option, but as of right now, there are only three seasons left. Three seasons were always planned “Goldsman said. After that, he said that if Trekkies wanted to see another season, it would be more likely.
‘If CBS, Patrick, and the rest of the world [asked for] Season 4’, Goldsman said, “I’m sure we’d all engage it,” but for the time being, the show will only run for three seasons.
The answer isn’t perfect, but it’s enough to keep fans hoping that there will be a fourth season. We’ll keep an eye out for new information in the near future.
Star Trek: Picard Season 2 is already set to premiere on Paramount+ on March 3rd, 2022, and will include 10 new episodes. In early 2023, the third season of the show is expected to premiere, but no official date has yet been set.
Who Will Be Returning for Picard Season 4?
Post-season two, it’s safe to say that Patrick Stewart will reprise his role as Jean-Luc Picard, Michelle Hurd will reprise her role as Rafaella “Raffi” Musiker, and Jerrold Ryan will reprise his role in the Seven of Nine roles.
Since recently announcing that Agnes Jurati will not be returning for the final season, Alison Pill is a notable exception.
Season three will be “the last,” Pill said in a statement to MovieWeb. “There are no spoilers for season three because I didn’t watch it. I’m looking forward to seeing it with everyone else.”
What about Santiago Cabrera’s involvement now that Cristobal “Chris” Rios has decided to retire and spend the rest of his life in the past rather than move forward?
Fortunately, some of the most talented actors in the business have been lined up to step in for them. As soon as the final episode of season two aired, Picard announced that a large number of characters from the Next Generation would be featured prominently in the third season.
For example, there’s LeVar Burton (Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge), Michael Dorn (Worf), Gates McFadden (Dr. Beverly Crusher), and Jonathan Frakes (Commander William T. Riker), Marina Sirtis (Counselor Deanna Troi), and Brent Spiner (Lt. Brent Spiner (Data).
