Steven Tyler, the lead singer of Aerosmith, has left rehabilitation. Following a relapse after ten years of sobriety, the band revealed in May that Tyler had checked himself into a treatment center. He has subsequently finished his rehabilitation, an Aerosmith representative told PEOPLE on Saturday.

The representative reports that “he’s doing incredibly well and is eager to get back on stage.” According to TMZ, the musician reportedly departed the facility last week after serving longer than the necessary 30 days.

Less than a month before Aerosmith was scheduled to resume their Las Vegas engagement, Tyler, 74, relapsed. Tyler willingly enrolled in a treatment center, according to a statement from the rockers, in order to “focus on his health and recovery.” They revealed in the statement that Tyler relapsed following foot surgery to prepare for performing on stage and the associated pain treatment.

With plans to resume performances in September, the band postponed appearances in June and July. At the time, Aerosmith wrote, “We are devastated that we have inconvenienced so many of you, especially our most devoted fans who frequently travel considerable distances to see our gigs.

Tyler has shared details of his sober path, including his disastrous treatment attempts in the 1980s and Aerosmith’s early years of wild partying.

In 2019, Tyler told GQ, “I don’t think any bands even knew what sober was.” “I was unable to do enough. I was unable to rise high enough.” He became sober in 1988 after his bandmates and management organized an intervention.
