It was a memorable evening! Celebrities attended the Oscars 2023 Vanity Fair After-Party wearing some of their best and most exquisite attire.
Yet like with every awards show, a few celebs showed up with an overbearing, unflattering appearance.
This is a brief list of all the celebrities whose outfits at the Oscars 2023 After-Party failed to win over fashion experts.
Worst-dressed celebrities from Vanity Fair After-Party 2023
Gabriela Hearst created Olivia Wilde’s gown. The white silk wool one-shoulder dress showed a black Nappa leather bra that was likewise the work of the Uruguayan designer.
Naomi Watts donned a tasseled Givenchy dress with a figure-hugging silhouette. The dress is an outrageous $11,400.
Tracee Ellis Ross
During the after-party, Tracee Ellis Ross donned a Balmain design. She wore a similar hat with it.
Using reflecting silver fabric, Alan Cumming gives his traditional double-breasted suit a modern spin.
Danielle Deadwyler opted for an edgy Versace animal print mini dress for the event. She accessorized it with bright blue gloves and sparkly jewels.
A strangely shaped Louis Vuitton gown didn’t look good on Cate Blanchett, who was up for Best Actress for her performance in Tar.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
On the red carpet, pink tuxedos and suits are pretty common, but this satin outfit doesn’t appear as it belongs on the crimson route. The bow tie added very little to this appearance.
Star of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever attended the celebration dressed in a sophisticated Jason Wu outfit. The clothing had a raised, raw-edged breast line. While the cast won over the reviewers, many were not fans of her hairstyle, which even led to an online meme-fest.
As a presenter, Florence Pugh attended the awards event. Before entering the Dolby Theatre, the actress posed for photographs while wearing a gown reminiscent of the 19th century. Several people were dissatisfied with the outfit, haircut, and cosmetics she chose.
With this awful white dress that featured an odd train on the back, Rooney utterly missed the target. Although critics adore a simple aesthetic, this tulle wrap dress fell short of their expectations.
The 44-year-old Zo from the film Avatar chose a lace gown that would be more appropriate for a nightgown than the red carpet at the Academy Awards.
