These so-called May-December romances have received some criticism, but they are still going strong.

The age difference between George and Amal Clooney, a beloved couple, is rather wide. When the two first met in 2013, George said in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, “I thought she was lovely, and I thought she was amusing and clearly clever,” before joking that Amal “probably thought I was ancient.” Alexander and Ella were born twins after the couple was married in 2014 and later that year.
